The bluebird foundation was created in honor of Harper Lou Covington. She taught us that even the smallest of children deserves a say in the fight for their lives. Our goal is to give all fighters a choice!
The Bluebird Foundation was created by Shealynn and Cade, in loving memory of their daughter, Harper Lou, who courageously battled an aggressive form of leukemia. During her seven-month fight, Harper found joy in bringing smiles to other children in the hospital—often by sharing fun, patterned medical tapes she called “Tubie Tape.” These small moments of choice brought a sense of comfort and control during a time filled with uncertainty.
Today, Bluebird continues Harper’s legacy by designing and distributing custom-printed, medical-grade tapes to children fighting cancer. Made with gentle materials and printed using sublimation technology, each sheet of tape is crafted to be kind to sensitive skin while offering a burst of color and personality. Whether used for NG tubes, central lines, or other medical needs, Tubie Tape gives kids a small but meaningful way to express themselves in the midst of their treatment.
At its core, the Bluebird Foundation exists to honor Harper’s light and share it with others—one child, one choice, and one roll of tape at a time.
We strive to have a variety of designs to fit every personality and need. From solids to patterns, we hope everyone finds something they love. BLoubird believes every child should be able to express themselves while fighting cancer. Let them fight in style!
